YS Sharmila has done the inevitable as she has joined Congress and took charge as Andhra Pradesh Congress wing president. This might be a tough pill to swallow for YS family fans but that’s the reality now.
Going back, Sharmila is believed to have separated from Jagan after the latter turned down her request to get an important post in the YCP government. Reportedly, Jagan felt bringing in Sharmila would split the party in two camps as the leaders of go don’t like Jagan’s method of leadership will joing Sharmila’s camp and vice versa.
This anguished Sharmila back then and eventually led to Sharmila joining Congress now.
But if we observe things keenly, Jagan appears to have done the right thing by rejecting Sharmila’s advancements that day.
Sharmila appears to be a very impulsive leader. If Jagan really gave her a key position when she asked, she would’ve certainly split the party with her miscalculations. Even Jagan should’ve borne the negative effects then. So he did the wise thing of rejecting Sharmila right at the early stages. It should have been a tough thing to do but it was the needed thing that had to be done.
