Nara Chandra Babu Naidu's wife Nara Bhuvaneshwai was never a politically active person. But things changed after Babu went to jail last year and Bhuvaneshwari had to come out and hold public meetings. She even took part in "Nyaayam Gelavali" program and gave monetary compensation to the families of individuals who lost their lives out of shock after Chandra Babu was arrested. It appears that Bhuvaneshwari is taking a further step ahead and she is likely to contest as an MLA this term.
Reportedly, TDP high command is contemplating the proposal to make Bhuvaneshwari contest from the Bheemili constituency in 2024 election. Bheemili was contested by TDP senior Ganta Srinivas Rao in 2014 and he won the election. Then in 2019, TDP fielded Sabbam Hari and he lost by 10K votes. TDP is now trying to reclaim the crucial Bheemili constituency by fielding Nara Bhuvaneshwari, say reports.
Bhuvaneshwari is already in the public's eye after the arrest saga of Chandra Babu. Not too distant in the past, YCP MLAs abused Bhuvaneswhari in the AP assembly which led to Chandra Babu getting teary-eyed and this brought sympathy on the Nara lady. The high command reportedly sees her as the right option to reclaim the Bheemili constituency in 2024.
However, fielding Bhuvaneshwari directly in the election is a big deal. Chandra Babu will certainly contemplate a lot before he takes this decision. So we cant say anything for certain for now. Only time will tell if Bhuvaneshwari will actually contest in Bheemili. If she does, then Ganta Srinivas who is aspiring the ticket here could move to Anakapalle
