Andhra Pradesh politics are resembling the climax of suspense thriller movie with so many twists and turns. On one side, TDP and JSP are working on their alliance strategies, and on the other side, Jagan Mohan Reddy is fully busy with shuffling his MLA candidates. The party that is seeing the least amount of action is BJP. But finally, BJP has decided to make moves in view of the 2024 elections.
AP BJP core committee meeting was held in Vijayawada yesterday and BJP central convener Shiv Prakash took part in it. BJP core committee, headed by Purandeshwari expressed their opinion on the alliance with TDP and JSP. The data compiled from the assessments made by pivotal members of AP BJP has been carefully imprinted in a sealed cover. Purandeshwari is likely to submit it to BJP central high command in a day or two.
The media reports following the completion of the meeting is that the majority of the BJP leaders sided with the TDP-JSP-BJP alliance prospect. The contents of the sealed cover that is to be submitted to the BJP central wing could carry a similar message. In that case, the chances of BJP joining the alliance will turn increasingly likely.
Purandeshwari has commented that the BJP's verdict on joining the alliance will be made a month before the elections. However, TDP and JSP are not waiting for this and are actively working on their campaign. The two parties are likely to announce their joint candidates after the Sankranthi season. They have already reached an almost-final agreement on the candidates for the majority of the constituencies.
