The election symbols and related prospects are of utmost importance when it comes to electioneering. For any party to succeed, it needs to have a strongly publicized election symbol.
In the case of YCP, the same was perfectly established perfectly by Jagan Mohan Reddy. No other political party has taken their symbol as deeply into the public as Jagan Mohan Reddy as he took the ceiling fan symbol into the deeper sections.
However, in the case of JanaSena party, things have been going haywire as the party is struggling to even keep hold of its own election symbol.
The Election Commission has stated that JSP no longer has the exclusive rights of the glass tumbler symbol and the same was announced today.
In whichever constituency that JanaSena will be contesting, its candidates will be allotted the glass symbol. But the constituencies where JSP will not contest, independent candidate can use the glass symbol.
This means that glass symbol is no longer the exclusive symbol of JanaSena and instead, it is an open symbol that is open to be used by others as well. This could well affect the political image of JSP as it will go down as a party in AP without even a basic election symbol.
