The arrest of Chandrababu Naidu in the skill development case is one of the more elongated political developments in Andhra Pradesh politics. It has been 32 days since CBN was put on judicial remand in the case and he is yet to be set free.
Naidu's legal counsel had approached the supreme court with a quash petition, asking to dispose off the case.
The apex court held the hearing on the case today and has now passed a new judgment. The next hearing on the case has been pushed to this Friday, read the statement from the court.
The next hearing will commence at 2 PM this Friday. There is a chance that the verdict could be announced on this date but nothing is for certain for now.
After taking a look at the arguments of the petitioner and AP government's counsel, the common talk on social media is that the latter tried to just drag on the case as long as they could.
