Telugu Desam Party is facing existential crisis in Andhra Pradesh. The party chief Chandrababu Naidu has been sent to jail in Rajahmundry for his alleged involvement in the AP skill development scam.
Nara Lokesh then flew off to Delhi and he is nowhere to be seen in Andhra Pradesh. He has left the party and its cadre to air and left them when they needed him the most.
In the aftermath of these peculiar and unforeseen developments, TDP has lost heavily. It is very clear that TDP has lost all of its credibility in AP. CBN has lost his image in AP and the party is now being seen as a poorly managed entity.
CBN has been projected as a scamster and this has rubbed into TDP as well. And then, JanaSena chief Pawan Kalyan came along. Pawan supported TDP in 2014 and then shouted at them and asked people not to vote for them in 2019, and now again in 2024, Pawan is asking people to vote for TDP again. This wont work well for the alliance.
All in all, Jagan has cleverly orchestrated the political climate in AP in such a way that he is the only viable choice for the people, like the way his last 4 and a half years administration has clearly suggested.
