Will CBN ever see AP assembly again?

YSRCP chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is a man of his word. When he stepped out of the assembly in 2017, due to the power abuse of AP speaker who didn't let him speak, he vowed not to set foot in the assembly till he becomes the chief minister. Then, he won 2019 polls by a record margin and came into the assembly as the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Now, Chandrababu is trying something very similar. He walked out of the assembly in 2022, saying he will return to the assembly only after he becomes the chief minister of the state again.

In the case of Jagan, he had a strong wave going for himself and there was a lot of credence attached to his word. His integrity is what led him to becoming the CM.

In case of CBN, the waves are firmly against him in his own Kuppam constituency. Winning from Kuppam itself could prove to be a challenge for Chandrababu, let alone his promise of stepping back in the assembly after becoming the CM.

If TDP lose the election again in 2024, Naidu will be 80 by the next election. So, Naidu's dream of setting foot in the assembly again after becoming the CM could well come to an end.
