In the 2019 election, YSRCP, led by its chef YS Jagan went on a rampage in the Rayalaseema region, sweeping the majority of the constituencies in the region with stellar margins.
Out of the total 52 MLA seats in the RayalaSeema region, the ruling party, YSRCP won a staggering 50 and completed a half century in area.
The outrageous domination of Jagan in Rayalaseema is now expected to continue in 2024 as well, say reports. As per several several survey reports, YCP is well on course to sweep not less than 49-50 constituencies in Rayalaseema again.
With Jagan extensively focusing on Chandrababu's Kuppam and Balakrishna's Hindupur constituencies, the chances are that YCP will gain momentum in the entirety of Rayalaseema. If the pre-poll indications indicate that there might be a slip up for CBN in Kuppam constituency, then YCP could completely sweep the entire Rayalaseema region.
Jagan's YCP is untouchable already in Kadapa and Kurnool. Only one seat each was lost in Chittoor and Anantapur in 2019. The same trend might repeat in the next term as well, say reports. At this rate, YCP could be seeing a surge again and score another 50 in Seema.
