The government of Andhra Pradesh has taken affirmative action on the rapidly increasing cases of heart attacks and related deaths in the country. The government vows to curb the fatal effect of this medical condition through a golden hour injection program.
The government has announced the plan to procure Stemi equipment which will help save the lives of heart attack victims. The pilot program will come to effect from the 29th of August.
The government is spending Rs 40,000 on each of these injections that are to be administered to fatally ill heart attack patients. The medical teams in the state are to be trained for the same starting very soon.
As a part of this pilot project, clusters will be assembled in Chittoor, Kurnool, Guntur, and Vizag, where the golden hour treatment will be carried out to patients who suffered heart attacks.
The plan is that the heart attack patient will be sent to nearby Spokes Center through a 108 ambulance where the person will be administered the potentially life-saving injection. After which, they will be shifted to a Cath Labs that will be set up in district hospitals across the state.
This is an elaborate program to curb the effect of heart attacks on the common public. This move from Jagan has drawn a rousing response from the public and rightly so.
