Will bring down power charges by 30%: Naidu

TDP supremo Nara Chandrababu Naidu is in the news for unveiling a document detailing his "vision" to develop Andhra Pradesh should his party come to power next year. Titled Vision 2047, the document delves into five key areas, especially power and water.

The first promise is that power charges will be reduced by 30% should TDP come to power. This will happen in a phased manner, not in one go. Naidu believes that it is achievable by "setting up hydrogen and ammonia hubs along with research centres" in the State.

The interlinking of rivers is another favourite item mentioned in the vision statement. Making drones, robotics, quantum computing, and other technology interventions popular is another promised item.

During an interaction session, CBN said that Hyderabad's history can be divided into pre-1995 and post-1995. "Where was Cyberabad before?" he asked. The TDP chief added that Vizag will be developed and that the city is a place where cast and religious divides don't matter. "The people here accept you if you do development and reject you if you don't," he added.
