Pawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena, made shocking comments about the volunteers' system introduced by AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy and the ruling YSRCP. He said that the volunteer system is resulting in huge human trafficking. He also said that intelligence sources in Delhi told him that the volunteer system in Andhra Pradesh is responsible for the missing women in the state.
This resulted in women's organizations and volunteers attacking Pawan Kalyan and the AP women's commission sending notices to Pawan Kalyan demanding proof. To the top of it, many volunteers also filed complaints against Pawan Kalyan in various police stations. In the midst of all this, Pawan Kalyan tried to clarify on his comments. He said he has no grudge against the volunteers and also the volunteer system but added that the developmental schemes of the government can reach the people even without them.
He added that he got complaints against the volunteers from various quarters. Pawan Kalyan claimed that 29,279 cases were against women and expressed concerns over the data of fifty families being handled by village volunteers. Pawan came out with the clarification to control the damage done by his comments. Though Pawan Kalyan is in damage control mode, the question is will anyone believe him?
