At a public meeting recently, Pawan Kalyan, the commander in chief of JanaSena alleged that the village volunteers system in Andhra Pradesh is propelling a human trafficking cycle in Andhra Pradesh. This is a pretty stiff allegation to make without concrete proof to back it up.
This comment from Pawan Kalyan has cut loose a treacherous flow of backlash from the public and the volunteers workforce in Andhra Pradesh. People have taken it to the streets to call out Pawan.
The efforts put in by volunteers to stay by the public during the testing Covid period is being reminisced by the public and Pawan's comment that these same volunteers could be involved with human trafficking has hit the wrong chord.
There is a whole lot of public backlash on Pawan's comment and even JanaSena troops are unable to defend the same as the scale of negativity is far too big. Making such a grade-A allegation without necessary proofs and facts to back it up have sent wrong signals to the public.
This is not what JanaSena wanted before the 2024 elections which aren't too far from now. Miscalculated moves like these can spell disaster during the election period.
