Jagan on Ananthapur steel plant

Jagan on Ananthapur steel plant. AP CM Jagan is going all out and working relentlessly to place Andhra Pradesh on the world map. According to the latest, CM Jagan spoke to scribes about the Ananthapur steel plant. He said the Anantapur steel plant will get all clearances soon.

He added " The long-awaited steel plant at Jammalamadugu in Kadapa district will get clearances including the environmental nod from the Centre by July 15. This would provide additional employment opportunities for youths at Kopparthi Industrial Park, where ancillary units would come up."

Ananthapur is fast developing into the iron ore hub and the upcoming Jindal Steel Plant in Kadapa district will develop into the world’s largest steel plant with an annual production capacity of 25 million tonnes per annum. Ananthapur is strategically located in Hyderabad-Bengaluru-Chennai industrial corridor. Anantapur has great potential for the development of industries due to its strategic location in-between three metro cities and the availability of vast tracts of land.

Ananthapur rich in mineral resources has untapped minerals including dolomite, iron ore, limestone, pyrophyllite, and quartz. Experts feel mini-steel plants can be set up as well as ore processing centers in the district in support of the mega steel plant at Kadapa.
