Pawan Kalyan's startling allegations on the volunteer system

Pawan Kalyan's startling allegations on the volunteer system. AP CM Jagan Mohan Reddy after coming to power in the state introduced a volunteer system so as to ensure that the benefits of the government welfare schemes reach the poor and downtrodden in an efficient manner and none will be deprived of the benefits.

While people of AP are showering praises on the volunteers by constantly monitoring the schemes and the beneficiaries, Pawan Kalyan, chief of Jana Sena, who kickstarted his second phase of the Varahi yatra in Eluru, made startling allegations. He said the volunteer system is resulting in human trafficking.

He said "Central intelligence officials in New Delhi told me that there was massive human trafficking in Andhra Pradesh and the state’s women and girls were in danger through the ‘volunteer’ system. Approximately 30,000 girls and women had gone missing in 2019-20 but only 14,000 of them returned home. What happened to the rest,"

He asked " I want to know if the Chief Minister had discussed about the missing girls with the DGP. This was a serious issue and could not be brushed aside lightly. The volunteers are collecting data from every family and the information is being misused to perpetrate crimes, including human trafficking."
