Jagan delights farmers on YSR's birth anniversary. On the occasion of his father, former CM YSR's birth anniversary, AP CM Jagan delighted all the farmers by launching and celebrating Rythu Dinotsavam. Jagan reached Kalyandurg and on YSR Rythu Dinotsavam the name after which YSR's birth anniversary is celebrated delighted the farmers by disbursing the input subsidy of Rs. 1,117 crores, benefiting 10.2 lakh farmers across the state who suffered crop losses in the Kharif season of 2022.
CM Jagan added that his government is committed to the welfare of the farmers and will ensure that his government will not allow farmers to suffer, unlike the former CM Chandra Babu Naidu who only Rs. 3,411 crores to the farmers in his fiver year ensure. He said Chandra Babu left the farmers suffering in the drought.
Jagan also inaugurated the MPFC (Multipurpose Facilitation Centre) godowns and 52 Dr. YSR Agri Testing Labs developed with an expenditure of Rs. 63.93 crores. With this, the number of labs across the State has gone up to 127. He went on record saying “We have named several welfare schemes after YSR to respect him and cherish his memories forever,”
He added “In an unprecedented manner, we are covering every irrigated acre and every farmer through RBKs and e-cropping under the crop insurance scheme without imposing any financial burden on the farmers. No other state is implementing a scheme like this,” Under the Rythu Bandhu scheme, 54, 48,000 farmers got free insurance of Rs. 7,802 crores in the last four years while only Rs 3411 crore was paid to 35, 80,000 farmers in the 5 years of drought-hit Chandra Babu's rule.
