Andhra Pradesh elections are not too far from now and this is leading to a tensed atmosphere in AP politics. The political parties have started to prepare their arsenals for the coming elections.
In this connection, there are reports that the opposition party, Telugu Desam has already locked the first list of MLA contestants for the elections. Chandrababu and Lokesh have locked the initial list of candidates, say reports.
The candidates were informed of their candidature and they were asked to prepare the election campaigns much in advance. The list will be officially announced in October this year.
The list is subject to change though, given that there is the proposal to form an alliance with JanaSena and this will eventually lead to seat sharing. But either way, there are reports that the TDP has locked 60-70 MLA candidates for the next election.
The idea is to start preparing for the elections much in advance so that they can get a head-start before YSRC. This way, they will have more time to pacify the rebels who didn't get the tickets. This is a new strategy that is being applied by the TDP for the coming election campaign in Andhra Pradesh.
