TDP dias collapses. The mishap occurred at the TDP meeting which was underway in Battulavarigudem, Nuziveedu Mandal, Eluru district. TDP organized a public meeting to propagate their party's manifesto which was unveiled at Mahanadu recently by its chief Chandra Babu Naidu.
They planned to promote the 'Bhavishyat Gurantee'meeting. Many of the TDP cadre, supporters, leaders and participated in the meeting. When former Minister Nimmakayala Chinarajappa was addressing the gathering, the dias collapsed due to heavy winds which blew across the region.
Due to heavy winds, the stage collapsed and TDP senior leaders Chintamaneni Prabhakar, Nimmakayala Chinarajappa, Peetala Sujatha, and others fell down from the stage. Few suffered minor injuries in the incident. It is a close shave for the party leaders as the summer season ends and monsoons are expected to hit the state soon.
Former MP Maganti Babu sustained serious injuries on his leg. Nuziveedu TDP in-charge Muddaraboina Venkateswara Rao and some party workers sustained minor injuries and the leaders of Telugu Desam Party said that the injured were rushed to the hospital in Nuziveedu.
On hearing this, TDP chief Chandra Babu Naidu inquired about the safety and well-being of the leaders, party workers, and cadre. TDP is heaving a sigh of relief as a major mishap did not happen.
