The recent victory for the Telugu Desam Party has pumped quite a bit of oxygen into the yellow camp and they are now under the impression that this momentum will take them to victory in the upcoming elections. Nothing wrong in thinking like that but here is some interesting story that is shaping up.
Well, it is heard that TDP is already in the process of lining up the contestants for the tickets and here comes the catch. Buzz is that there are many aspirants for the tickets and this has put the party in a tight spot. It is obvious that the ticket can be given only to one and this would lead to the others becoming rebels.
As it is, certain constituencies like Nidadavolu are seeing a tight fight between veteran TDP leaders Burugupalli Sesharao and Kandula Satyanarayana for the ticket. Sources reveal the same seems to be the case in a few other important areas. Well, if the count of rebels increases it is going to spell the downfall for TDP as it leads to various challenges once the elections happen like vote bank split, cross voting and what not. Also, there might be a tug of war between candidates who are aspiring for the ticket through Lokesh and those who are aspiring through Chandrababu Naidu. All in all, it is going to be a rough ride for TDP hereon.
