Former Vice President of India Venkaiah Naidu was in Guntur today to attend the Ugadi award programme organised for Telugu journalists at the Revenue Kalyana Mandapam in Guntur. Speaking on this occasion, Venkaiah Naidu said that standards in politics are falling, including in the media. He warned that this trend is a threat to the country's honour.
"Some comments being made by politicians are disgusting. A revolution cannot be brought about by a gunshot. The revolution should come from the thoughts of the people. People are changing parties just for positions and not for policies. This is not at all good," he expressed.
On the other hand, Venkaiah Naidu ate idli at the SSS Culinary Hotel in Vijayawada this morning, and he shared the same on this Twitter handle. The post is attracting huge attention from netizens, with people appreciating him for being the most humble and simple person on earth.
