Brahmins are from Russia and Europe, says North Indian leader

As per RJD leader Yaduvansh Kumar Yadav, Brahmins are originally from Europe and not India. Speaking at a political rally in Bihar's Supaul, Yadav recently said that Brahmins have been trying to divide and rule the rest of the Indians.

"DNA tests show no Brahmin belongs to this country. They show that they are from Russia and are settled here. Brahmins are trying to divide us and rule. We should chase them away from here," the politician has been quoted as saying.

Netizens are expressing shock over the "pseudo-scientific and racist" remarks. "Since the RJD leader provoked the crowds to chase away Brahmins, it can be deemed hate speech against a community," a Facebook user wrote.

Speeches of this sort assume significance only if some or the other party decides to mobilize particular caste groups against those speeches. Will the BJP do it against the RJD leader's speech? Biharis will have to wait and watch!

Bihar is where the Mandal politics took root and have immensely benefited RJD.
