Razakar, a powerful historical drama starring Bobby Simha, Vedhika, Anishka Tripathi, Prema, and Indraja, is set to make its world digital premiere on Aha OTT on January 24th. Produced by Gudur Narayana Reddy under the banner of Samarveer Creations LLP and directed by Yata Satyanarayana, the film garnered critical acclaim and audience appreciation during its theatrical release last year. To mark its OTT premiere, the team recently held a press meet in Hyderabad.

A Film Made with a Sense of Responsibility

Producer Gudur Narayana Reddy shared his vision for the film: "While many films are created for entertainment and commercial success, Razakar was born out of a sense of responsibility. We aimed to shed light on the atrocities committed by the Razakars during the Nizam's rule, presenting this dark chapter of history in a captivating and informative manner. It's crucial for future generations to understand these events to prevent such horrors from recurring. During the making of this film, I faced numerous threats, but I remained undeterred. The film has received a 9.5 rating on IMDb and was honored at the Goa Film Festival. With the unwavering support of our team and director Yata Satyanarayana, we successfully brought this story to the audience. I consider this my contribution to society, and the positive response has been incredibly fulfilling. Now, we're bringing Razakar to Aha OTT, making it accessible to a wider Telugu audience. We hope for your continued support."

Unveiling a Brutal Truth

Actress Indraja spoke about the film's significance: "Producer Gudur Narayana Reddy garu faced immense challenges to bring Razakar to life. Director Yata Satyanarayana dedicated ten years to researching and crafting this film. It serves as a powerful testament to the atrocities committed by the Razakars, and it's essential for us to learn about this dark period in our history. The film doesn't aim to create division but rather to portray historical events accurately. The character of a Muslim journalist in the film is particularly noteworthy. We also highlight the positive contributions of the sixth Nizam. I had the honor of portraying Veeranari Chakali Ailamma, a true heroine who bravely resisted oppression. I'm grateful to our director for this opportunity."

A Call to Remember History

Actor Naga Mahesh shared his experience: "In Razakar, I played the role of Rapaka Ramachandra Reddy, a cruel Deshmukh. I'm thankful to director Yata Satyanarayana for entrusting me with this impactful role. The director's meticulous research and the producer's unwavering commitment to the film's purpose are commendable. I urge everyone to watch Razakar on Aha OTT and learn from this important chapter in our history."

A Film that Transcends Boundaries

Director Yata Satyanarayana expressed his gratitude for the film's reception: "Razakar has received tremendous appreciation not only in Telugu but also in Hindi, Marathi, and other languages. It has been recognized at numerous film festivals, including IFFI Goa and the Jaipur Film Festival, where it garnered praise from international audiences. We chose Aha OTT as the platform to reach a wider Telugu audience and ensure this crucial part of history is not forgotten. I have many more stories about Telangana's unsung heroes that I plan to adapt into films. Razakar offers a glimpse into Operation Polo, a significant turning point in our history."

Art Director Tirumala Tirupati also shared his appreciation for being a part of this impactful project.

With its powerful narrative, dedicated cast and crew, and commitment to historical accuracy, Razakar promises to be a thought-provoking and essential watch for all. Don't miss its digital premiere on Aha OTT, starting January 24th.
