A 25-year-old woman hailing from Telangana, who had pursued higher studies in the United States, tragically lost her life in a road accident in Florida on Sunday night.
Guntipalli Sowmya, identified as a resident of Yadagiri Palli village in Yadadri-Bhongir district, was struck by a speeding car while crossing the road on Sunday night, resulting in her immediate demise.
According to the reports, having completed her Masters degree from Florida Atlantic University, Sowmya was in the midst of job hunting when the unfortunate incident occurred. Her grieving parents, Koteswara Rao and Balamani, along with other relatives, have reached out to the Centre, seeking assistance to repatriate her body back to India.
