Of late, we are hearing increased cases of hate crime and fatalities in general pertaining to Telugu community individuals and here is another addition to the same.
An accident on May 14th in Alpharetta has claimed the lives of three University of Georgia students. Eighteen-year-old Sriya Avasarala, an honors student at UGA, was among those killed. Five people were traveling in the car at the time of the accident.
Aryan Joshi (18) and Sriya Avasarala died instantly, while Anvi Sharma (18) succumbed to her injuries during treatment at a hospital. The cause of the accident is suspected to be overspeed, however the matter is under investigation.
Rithwak Somepalli (18), who was driving the car, and another passenger, Mohammed Liyakath (18), were also involved in the crash. However, their current conditions have not yet known.
