In a disheartening incident that happened on the 8th of May, two Telugu students, Lakki Reddy Rakesh Reddy and Rohit Manikantha Repala, drowned at Fossil Creek Falls in Arizona, USA.
The incident occurred on the 8th of this month when a group of 16 friends, including the deceased, went to celebrate their graduation from the University of Arizona.
Rakesh and Rohit, who had just completed their Master's degrees, met with this tragic fate while swimming at the waterfall.
The local police were informed by their friends and a search operation was conducted. Despite efforts extending into the night, the students were not found.
The following day, with the help of divers, the bodies were discovered at a depth. Rakesh, the only son of Lakkireddy Chandrasekhar Reddy, a prominent figure in the education sector from Khammam city, had completed his MS in Computer Science Engineering.
Rohit's background, an MS in Information Technology, is yet to be detailed.
