Chiranjeevi’s highly anticipated film "Vishwambhara" was initially set for a grand Sankranthi 2025 release. However, to make way for 'Game Changer', starring Ram Charan and directed by S. Shankar, the makers decided to postpone it. While the move didn’t go as planned for 'Game Changer', fans have been eagerly awaiting an update on "Vishwambhara’s" new release date.

According to latest reports, "Vishwambhara" is now eyeing an August 22 release—coinciding with Chiranjeevi’s birthday. Although the makers initially aimed for a summer release in May, ongoing VFX work has caused delays. The visual effects team behind 'Avatar' has been brought in to enhance the film’s CGI, following earlier criticism of its graphics. An official confirmation on the release date is still awaited.

A Grand Mythological Spectacle in the Making

First announced as 'Mega 156' on August 22, 2023, "Vishwambhara" was officially launched with a pooja ceremony on October 23. Produced by UV Creations, speculation initially suggested that it would be a sequel to 'Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari'. However, director Mallidi Vassishta clarified that "Vishwambhara" is an original story, blending mythology with a spiritual and fantasy-driven narrative.

Filming commenced at Annapurna Studios, featuring elaborate sets designed by A.S. Prakash. With nearly 70% of the film relying on VFX, the team has focused on creating a visually immersive experience. Initial scenes were shot in the lush forests of Maredumilli, while Chiranjeevi joined the production in February 2024.

Star-Studded Cast and Intense Action Sequences

Trisha Krishnan plays the female lead, marking her reunion with Chiranjeevi. The film also features Meenakshi Chaudhary, Ashika Ranganath, Isha Chawla, Surbhi Puranik, and Kunal Kapoor in pivotal roles.

High-octane action sequences choreographed by Shobhi Master and Vijay Binni have been filmed in Hyderabad and Nalgonda. A major fight scene shot at Ramoji Film City used real sand to enhance the authenticity of mud effects. Another significant sequence involved a towering 54-foot Hanuman statue in Lingampally. In 2024, Chiranjeevi completed a grueling 26-day action sequence—marking the longest in his career.

Technical Brilliance & Musical Excellence

"Vishwambhara" boasts a stellar technical crew. Cinematography is handled by Chota K. Naidu, while editing duties are overseen by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao and Santhosh Kamireddy. Adding to the grandeur, legendary music composer MM Keeravani, known for his Oscar-winning compositions, is crafting the film’s soundtrack.

As the team works meticulously on post-production, excitement is building around "Vishwambhara". With its mythological grandeur, cutting-edge visuals, and Chiranjeevi’s larger-than-life presence, the film is shaping up to be a cinematic spectacle. Fans now eagerly await the official confirmation of the release date, hoping to celebrate Chiranjeevi’s birthday with the much-anticipated film.
