The many days of festival expectations and the Sankranthi fervor has now come to a conclusive stage with the biggies clashing against each other. This year, the contenders were ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ featuring Nandamuri Natasimham Balakrishna and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ featuring megastar Chiranjeevi.
The competition was quite hot between both movies and now the final winner of the festival seems to be out. It is none other than ‘Waltair Veerayya’. The reason being, the family audiences in India and abroad are voting for Veerayya and usually the Sankranthi time belongs to the family audience.
The violence quotient in ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ proved to be a deterrent as per few observers and even the trailer appealed more for mass audience and not family audience. On the other hand, the talk that Veerayya had some fun sequences, few shots of Chiru coming out revealed that the film had more of an entertainment quotient when compared to ‘Veera Simha Reddy’. That way, ‘Waltair Veerayya’ is having the last laugh. As for the other releases, nobody is caring for ‘Varasudu’ while ‘Thegimpu’ is gone. ‘Kalyaanam Kamaneeyam’ got overshadowed amidst all this.
