Investigative Thriller "Hatya" to Release on January 24th, Promises a Unique Experience: Ravi Varma at Teaser Launch

Thriller films are currently in high demand, and following the success of the psychological thriller "Madha," director Srividya Basava is ready to enthrall audiences once again with another gripping thriller titled "Hatya." Produced by S Prashanth Reddy under the Mahakaal Pictures banner, the film stars Dhanya Balakrishna, Pooja Ramachandran, and Ravi Varma in lead roles. The film is slated for release on January 24th.

A teaser launch event was held in Hyderabad on Thursday, where renowned actor Ravi Varma unveiled the intriguing teaser. Speaking at the event, the film's cast and crew shared their insights and excitement for the project.

Srividya Basava (Director): "I'm grateful to the media and audience for the support they showed for my debut film Madha. Five years later, I'm back with Hatya, another thriller. Although it's a familiar story, I've presented it as a gripping, edge-of-your-seat investigative thriller. I put a lot of hard work and effort into the screenplay. I thank the entire cast and crew, especially Dhanya Balakrishna, Ravi Varma, and Pooja Ramachandran for their support. Naresh has given wonderful background music. Abiraj's visuals are excellent. Anil's editing made the film even more intriguing. I met Ravi Varma during Madha and he expressed interest in working together. I was thrilled that such a talented actor approached me. I wrote the script for Hatya with Ravi Varma in mind. He will be seen in a unique and refreshing role. Pooja Ramachandran's role is also very interesting, and she took it to another level with her performance. Dhanya Balakrishna was also very supportive. When I saw the teaser of Madha, I called Srividya and expressed my desire to be a part of it. She told me it was a small role, but I insisted on acting in it. That journey, which began then, has now led me to play a major role in this film. Srividya chose me for this unconventional role after a look test. It's a challenging role for me. Abiraj is a wonderful cinematographer. Naresh's background music and Anil's editing have taken the film to another level. Srividya has introduced a new style of filmmaking. She is very determined and won't stop until she gets the desired output. I enjoyed the journey of Hatya. It's an engaging investigative thriller that will offer the audience a unique experience."

Pooja Ramachandran (Actress): "This is my first film after the birth of my son. Many people offered me films, but I kept saying no. However, after talking to Srividya, I decided to act in this film, even though it wasn't a full-length role. It's a key role, a crucial character that changes the course of the film. After a long time, I'm coming back to the Telugu audience with a different film like Hatya. Thanks to director Srividya for giving me this opportunity. Ravi Varma is a fantastic actor.
