Amritha Aiyer on "Bachchala Malli": "A Meaningful Character in a Content-Driven Film"
Actress Amritha Aiyer, known for her roles in films like HanuMan and 30 Rojullo Preminchadam Ela, recently spoke about her upcoming film "Bachchala Malli" in a press meet. The film, starring Allari Naresh and directed by Subbu Mangadevi, is set for a Christmas release on December 20th.
Here's what Amritha had to share about her role and experience working on the film:
Q: How did you become a part of "Bachchala Malli"?
A: I heard the story while shooting for HanuMan. I loved the script and my character, which has a lot of importance in the narrative.
Q: Tell us about your character in the film.
A: The story is set in the 80s, and I play a town girl with a city-bred attitude. She's sensitive, emotional, and values her family. My character shares some beautiful emotional scenes with Naresh's character. It's quite different from the roles I've played before.
Q: How was it working with Allari Naresh?
A: Naresh is a fantastic actor who can portray any emotion convincingly. While his character is aggressive on screen, he's a very soft-spoken and friendly person in real life. Working with him was a wonderful experience.
Q: Has your approach to choosing roles changed after "HanuMan"?
A: I've always wanted to play meaningful characters. "Bachchala Malli" offers me another such role. It's a content-driven film with strong emotions, and I'm confident it will be a hit.
Q: What are your thoughts on the director and the music?
A: Subbu is a director with a clear vision and a focused approach. He has captured the emotions beautifully. "Bachchala Malli" is an emotional drama that will resonate with everyone. I was also thrilled to have Vishal Chandrashekar, known for Seetharamam, composing the music. The songs are already superhit and will connect even more after the film's release.
Q: What are your dream roles?
A: I would love to play roles like a dream girl, a queen, or a princess. I'm also open to action roles! (laughs)
Q: What are your upcoming projects?
A: I'm currently working on a Kannada and a Tamil film. I'm also listening to scripts in Telugu.
With her promising role in "Bachchala Malli" and her dedication to choosing meaningful characters, Amritha Aiyer is definitely an actress to watch out for in the coming year.
