Twisted Tales, an anthology film is the biggest collaboration of actors and (technicians from the US and India. 4 notable Directors have helmed four different stories in thriller/mystery genreswith the best of production values shot entirely in the US. This is the biggest collaboration of actors and technicians from Texas, California and Virginia (and) India bringing an anthology of stories in Mystery and thriller genres.
The visuals are stylish, impactful, bold, and cinematic to give the anthology film an urban flick look. The screenplay is styled to let visuals drive the narrative with dialogues and music playing a supporting role. The more layers you peel the more plots are revealed. The cast represents actors from multiple ethnicities with a liberal dose of English dialogues along with Telugu dialogues.
The show is created by Pavan Atukuri, the founder of Wrapped Candy Films. He is also the creator and director of “Nuvvu Evaru”, a Sci-fi comedy web series made in 2022. Shravan Kancherla is the associate producer and Uday Govindarajula is the line producer.
Sandhya Bayireddy plays the lead role in (chapter – Serendipity of twisted tales) whose films “Maya” and “Make a wish” resonated well with the US and Indian audiences. She is aptly supported by Rishi Koushik and Gowthami. This sensitive mystery drama is deftly handled by Sujay Putchala, who has many credits to his name.
Sravanthi Prattipati’s portrayal of Anu along with her co-star Jaiwant Pasupuleti is a creepy thriller (chapter – The secret box). Sravanthi’s “Jagath” is creating ripples across the US and India with their trailer release in October. With an ensemble cast and solid technicians, director-duo Nikhil Vanamamalai and Sourabh Burgula will enthrall the audiences with an edge-of-the-seat watching experience.
Suman Nagarkar, a well-known kannada actress makes her mark as a wife who lives with an “Imposter” in one of the chapters with the same name. She is aptly supported by her co-stars Vishal Vaddep and Phani Rampalli (known for Orange and Ninnu kori feature films).
Uday Govindarajula plays detective Abhimanyu with style and aplomb in a racy cop drama called “The blind spot”. He is supported by Nishi Vunnam, Sravanthi Gottipalli, Gururaj and others.
Imposter and The blind spot are directed by Pavan Atukuri. The well known writer Deepak karamungikar contributed 2 stories. His recent script “Incessant” got nominated in the “best script” category in one of the popular film festivals. Pavan Atukuri wrote the story “The secret box” while Uday Govindarajula wrote “The blind spot”.
The music is composed by Avinash Baghel (known as BCS). Prithvi Karreddula, Chaz Zombolas, and Lokesh Akula capture various chapters with their deft camera work. Vinod Nomula, Pranesh Gotipamil, Abhinav Kunapareddy and Akhil Thomas got the best output through their editing prowess. The entire post production is done in Hyderabad, India.
Twisted tales will be premiered in the US soon, also this anthology film will be released on OTT in November.
