'Devara' is slated to hit the screens on September 27. It's now official that Devara begins his career as a smuggler in the movie, directed by Koratala Siva.
"A smuggler with a notorious reputation fights to uphold his morals and protect those he loves when he faces betrayal", says the British Board of Film Classification's censor report.
The above plot was more or less evident from the film's Trailer itself. Saif Ali Khan's Bhaira, Srikanth's character and Jr NTR's Devara start out as partners in crime. While Bhaira has no scruples, Devara abides by specific principles. When Bhaira executes a carnage (killing many Navy officials in a fight set in the backdrop of a sea), Devara undergoes transformation and turns against Bhaira.
It's speculated that Bhaira and Devara belong to a village where the victor of the Kusthi competition gets to reign supreme for a certain period of time. After being defeated, Bhaira pretends to be nice to Devara. Eventually, he backstabs Devara, who now goes into exile.
'Devara' also stars Janhvi Kapoor and Prakash Raj. Its music is by Anirudh Ravichander.
