'Double iSmart' hasn't taken so long to stream on OTT. The Ram Pothineni-Sanjay Dutt movie is currently available for streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, the film was a box-office dud. It crashed completely from its Day 4. No wonder Prime has started streaming it just 21 days after its theatrical release.
What is the film about? Shankar (Ram) is a self-styled thief who sorely misses his dead mother (Jhansi). An orphan, he becomes a guinea pig when a dreaded don named Big Bull (Sanjay Dutt) 'hires' his mind in search of immortality. Bigg Bull, through a fantastical medical intervention, gets his memories transferred to Shankar. Shankar now has two personalities: himself and Big Bull.
In our scathing review, we were uncharitable towards the film "Almost all characters around the protagonist-antagonist duo are sketchy and patchy. Sayaji Shinde's RAW sleuth is the most brainless one of all. The narration is partly predictable and partly contrived. There is a twist or two that tires you out," we opined.
