Dhruva Vaayu of 'Kerosine' fame is doing 'Kalinga' currently. Billed as a concept-based film, it is directed by the hero himself. Producers Deepthi Kondaveeti and Pruthivi Yadav of Big Hit Productions have stated that their movie has been in much demand from distributors.
Ahead of the release of the movie in theatres on September 13, Dhruva said that 'Kalinga' is not a regular movie. "It will please everyone with all the ingredients you expect from a wholesome movie: emotions, romance, comedy, thrills, and horror. I urge the audience to listen to the songs on T-Series' YouTube channel. We have explored a concept that no other Telugu movie has done before," Dhruva added.
The film was mostly shot in jungles. "The visuals are exceptional," cinematographer Akshay Ram Podishetti said.
Producer Deepthi Kondaveeti said that the audience will leave the theatre with a sense of satisfaction after watching the movie. The makers also stressed on the antagonist's role in the movie being special.
Starring Pragya Nayan as the female lead, the film also features Adukalam Naren. With music by Vishnu Sekhara and Anantha Narayanan AG, the film is edited by Naresh Venuvanka. 'Kalinga' also features Muralidhar Goud, Lakshman Meesala, Thanikella Bharani, Shiju AR, Sammeta Gandhi, Balgam Sudhakar, Sanjay Krishna, and Harishchandra.
