Fresh off the heels of 'Salaar' last year and 'Kalki 2898 AD' recently, Prabhas is set to embark on another epic journey. Mythri Movie Makers is producing his new pan-Indian project featuring him as a warrior rising from obscurity.
Described as a grand spectacle, the film will be helmed by Hanu Raghavapudi, the director behind 'Sita Ramam'. The duo is aiming to reimagine a historical event, infusing it with a fresh perspective and a strong message. "The story is a warrior's quest for justice in his homeland," the producers revealed, hinting at an alternate history narrative.
Joining Prabhas is Imanvi as the female lead. Her name was kept a secret by the makers. The makers revealed her name only today during the launch.
The film boasts a stellar supporting cast including veterans Mithun Chakraborty and Jaya Prada. Director Hanu is making sure the cast is drawn from non-Telugu languages as well.
With 'Bajirao Mastani' and 'Padmaavat' cinematographer Sudeep Chatterjee and production design by the Ramakrishna-Monica duo (of 'Rangasthalam' and 'Pushpa' fame), the technical prowess of the film is expected to be impressive. Kamal Kannan is the VFX supervisor, while Kotagiri Venkasteswara Rao is the Editor. Sheetal Iqbal Sharma and T VijayBhaskar are the costume designers.
