'Matka' is the most expensive movie in Varun Tej's career. Vyra Entertainments of 'Hi Nanna' fame and SRT Entertainments are bankrolling this period action drama.
Its First Look poster was unveiled on Sunday. The 'Operation Valentine' actor is seen in a vintage avatar, exuding both menace and confidence. His face is sharp, with high cheekbones and a strong jawline. His eyes are sharp and alert, always scanning the surroundings with a calculated gaze in an authoritative posture.
In June, a marathon schedule was shot at Ramoji Film City on a massive set .Currently, the shoot is ongoing in Hyderabad.
Naveen Chandra will be seen as a gangster in this one. Actor Ravi Shankar is playing the role of a police officer. Kannada Kishore, Ravindra Vijay, Satyam Rajesh, Ravi Shankar, Ajay Ghosh, Roopa Lakshmi and Avinash Kanaparthi will be seen in different roles. Actress Meenakshi Chowdary is the main heroine. Also featuring Norah Fatehi, the film will hit the screens in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi.
Produced by Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Rajani Thalluri, the film has music by GV Prakash Kumar and cinematography by A Kishor Kumar. Edited by Karthika Srinivas R, its release date is yet to be locked.
