A trailer is more or less an indicator of how the film is going to fare at the box office. And if the film has a big star then the expectations are extremely high. This time, it is the clash of titans happening with ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ and ‘Waltair Veerayya’ and the trailers are already out.
The films are releasing on January 12th and 13th respectively as Sankranthi specials. Coming to ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ the background score by S S Thaman is excellent, there is mass punch, all ingredients as expected in Balayya’s movie are available and the political dialogues are already raising controversy. To top it all, Shruti-Balayya’s step is getting a lot of hype.
As for ‘Waltair Veerayya’, just like Chiru’s speech, the trailer showed it is a routine masala entertainer and there are no sparks. Of course, in the climax Chiru-Ravi Teja clash is there but the audience has already seen it in ‘Bheemla Nayak’ i.e a clash of two heroes so there is no newness. But the good side is that the ‘Boss party’ song has worked, Chiru’s steps have worked and the masala has worked. Overall, from a trailer point of view ‘Veera Simha Reddy’ got an edge over ‘Waltair Veerayya’. Let us see what happens.
