The video version of the first song from 'Kalki 2898 AD' was supposed to be released at 11 am on Monday. At the time of writing, the song was yet to be put out by Vyjayanthi Movies.
The Prabhas-starrer has been accused of not being able to generate significant buzz ahead of its theatrical release. With just 10 days to go, the promotional exercise on the digital platforms should have been buzzing. But they look passive.
Director Nag Ashwin today thanked the audience today for being patient. "Things happen, delays happen...no excuses, but the whole team is really working non-stop....appreciate the support and understanding," the filmmaker wrote as a reply to a tweet by Amitabh Bachchan, who wrote that he had been waiting for the 'Bhairava Anthem' to drop.
The film is slated to hit the screens on June 27. The epic sci-fi entertainer has the calibre to become a slow-burn blockbuster in Hindi if the 'word of mouth' is positive.
