August 15 is when 'Double ISMART' will hit the screens. Whatever happened to 'Pushpa 2: The Rule', you ask? The film stands unofficially postponed. The bad news will be formally delivered to Allu Arjun's fans soon by the makers.
But today's announcement by Puri Jagannadh and Ram Pothineni about 'Double ISMART' should leave none in doubt that Bunny's movie has been postponed indefinitely. The new release date could be in December.
"Independence Day is a perfect time for the film’s release for 'Double ISMART'. While it’s a holiday on Thursday, the movie will also cash in another holiday on Monday (Raksha Bandhan)," the makers of Ram's movie said today.
To be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada, Puri's film has music by Mani Sharma. Kavya Thapar of 'Ek Mini Katha' and 'Eagle' fame is playing Ram's love interest, while Sanjay Dutt, Bani J, Ali, Getup Sreenu, Sayaji Shinde, Makrand Deshpande, and Temper Vamsi are also part of the cast. Kecha Khamphakdee and Real Sathish are mounting the action sequences as fight masters. Sam K Naidu and Gianni Giannelli are the directors of photography. Jonny Shaik is its production designer.
