'Satyabhama', starring Kajal Aggarwal as the protagonist, will hit the screens on June 7. Produced by Bobby Thikka and Srinivasa Rao Takkalapalli of Aurum Arts, the crime thriller is directed by Suman Chikkala. The director has spoken about the film in his latest interview:
Background:
I come from a software background. Some years ago, I had the opportunity to partake in story discussions for some movies that went on to click commercially. Director Sashikiran Tikka of 'Major' fame is my best friend. I have assisted him with script-writing before. He entrusted me with the responsibility of directing this film. That's how my debut has happened.
A blend of action and emotion:
'Satyabhama' is laced with both emotion and action. While writing this story, I didn't consider whether it was for a hero or a heroine; we wrote it for an individual. Since the victim of a crime in the story is a female person, I felt that 'Satyabhama' would do well to be made as a female-centric film. Sri Charan Pakala's music will be liked by the audience.

Kajal Aggarwal worked hard for the action sequences, performing stunts without a body double. We were all concerned about the possibility of injuries disrupting the shoot, but she bravely performed all the stunts. She is paired up with Naveen Chandra. Elements from real life have also been infused. The Disha App in Andhra Pradesh and the She Safe App in Telangana are popular.
