In his upcoming movie 'Toofan', 'Bicchagadu' and 'Love Guru' actor Vijay Antony is once again going to be seen as an underdog. Like in a true-blue commercial film, he emerges as a winner in a society steeped in discriminatory attitudes. Starring 'LIE' and 'Dear Megha' fam Megha Akash as the heroine, the film is helmed by Kollywood's Vijay Milton.
At the film's Teaser launch event, the makers said that the filming has reached the final stages and that the film will hit the screens sometime in June. Producer Vamsi Nandipati said that Antony is a real-life hero as well. Producer Dhanunjayan said that 'Toofan' is a mix of emotion, action and relationship drama. He added that Antony's 'Love Guru' has been viewed by at least one million people since its release on OTT recently.
Vijay Antony said that 'Toofan' is laced with rich production values. He thanked his producers for ensuring the highest quality. He clarified that he recently didn't intend to hurt film critics by any reckoning. "If the content is strong, the audience will surely visit theatres. The success of 'HanuMan' and 'Tillu Square' recently amply proves my point," he added.
Writer Bhagyasree said that 'Toofan' will generate box-office returns without fail. Achu Rajamani's music also came in for appreciation from the writer.
Sathyaraj, Sarathkumar, Daali Dhananjaya, and Murali Sharma will be seen in the movie.
