'OG' director reveals a surprising proposal by Pawan Kalyan

'OG' director Sujeeth, in a recorded interview, has said that Pawan Kalyan's original proposal was a remake. "He wanted me to do a remake. 'OG' would have been a remake had it not been for a change of mind on his part. He asked me to pitch an original idea. That's when it all began," Sujeeth says.

Known for Sharwanand's 'Run Raja Run' and Prabhas' 'Saaho', Sujeeth reveals that 'OG' stands for Ojas Gambheera. "Incidentally, it also means Original Gangster'," he adds. The film, produced by DVV Danayya, has music by Thaman. It will hit the screens on September 27 unless there is some change in the release date.

In the interview, Sujeeth said that 'Johnny' remains his most favourite PK film to date. "I was crazy about the movie. I watched it in a theatre in Anantapur in 2003. I didn't remove the Johnny band for seven days from the time of the movie's release. Pawan Kalyan used sync sound when it was not mainstream," Sujeeth adds.

'OG' is going to be one of the biggest releases of the year. It could also be the biggest release in PK's career.
