Last year, Payal Rajput delivered an impactful performance in 'Mangalavaaram'. While the film may not have reached expectations in terms of commercial success at the box office, the 'RX 100' actor didn't disappoint the audience.
She is now gearing up for the release of the crime thriller, 'Rakshana', which is touted to be an investigative mystery drama based on true incidents. Also starring Roshan and Manas, the film is directed and produced by Prandeep Thakore. "Made on high production values, our film guarantees a visually stunning and immersive experience," the makers said. Payal is playing a tough cop in the film.
The post-production works are on. The film also features Rajiv Kanakala, Shivannarayana and others. Produced by Haripriya Creations, its music is by Mahathi Swara Sagar and the cinematography is by Anil Bandari. Its Sound Design is by JR Ethiraj. The stunts have been done by Venkat Master. The dialogues have been written by Thayanidhy Sivakumar.
Cop stories led by female protagonists are a gamble. One hopes Payal is going to prove her mettle through 'Rakshana', whose title itself sounds borrowed.
