'The 100' is the title of actor RK Sagar's next film as the male lead. The film's motion poster was released today at an event in Hyderabad in the presence of former Vice-President of India, Venkaiah Naidu.
Writer-director Raghav Omkar Sasidhar described the film as an emotional action thriller with commercial and realistic elements. "I urge the media to support our movie and take this film to the next level. I thank Sagar for giving me the huge responsibility to wield the megaphone. When the title 'The 100' was announced, many thought it was just a number. Today's motion poster says it is not a number but denotes a weapon," the director added.
Producers Ramesh Karutoori, Venki Pushadhapu and J Tharak Ram said that 'The 100' is a must-watch.
Actor RK Sagar said that 'The 100' is the kind of movie he can be proud of. "Venkaiah Naidu garu gracing this occasion is a matter of great fortune. It was my wish to listen to his words about our movie. The producers have done 'The 100' in an uncompromising manner. They made this movie without commercial calculations in mind. Families will like our movie. The 100 is a weapon everyone needs at least once in their lifetime," he said.
Venkaiah Naidu said that, after politics and literature, he loves cinema the most. "Cinema is a mass medium. Crores of people have access to it at affordable rates. Coming to 'The 100', the movie looks earnest. I am confident that this film will become a commercial hit," the dignitary added, making a reference to Sagar's cop character. "This film delivers a useful social message without resorting to vulgarity and obscenity," he said.
Cinematographer Shyam K Naidu, Editor Amar Reddy Kudumula and music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar have worked on the movie. The film's stunts have been composed by Vijay and Dragon Prakash.
