The Telugu-dubbed Malayalam film, 'Antony', stars Joju George and Kalyani Priyadarshan in pivotal roles (as a father and his adopted daughter, respectively). Released in theatres in December last year, it is streaming on Aha from today (February 23).
Directed by Joshiy with the story by Rajesh Varma, the action drama also features Chemban Vinod Jose, Nyla Usha, Asha Sharath, Appani Sharath, and Vijayaraghavan. While Jakes Bijoy has composed the music for this film, Renadive is the cinematographer and Shyam Sasidharan is the editor.
Upon its theatrical release, a national daily described 'Antony' as a soulful Malayalam movie whose emotional beats "resonate with the charm of yesteryear cinema". The review added that the film's many characters "evoke emotions with depth and nuances" and that the story is gripping. The Hindu opined that 'Antony' is a typical Joshiy film in which there is plenty of action. "The emotions spread over two hours and twenty-odd minutes," the review added.
Joju George was last year seen in the Telugu film 'Aadikeshava' as Chenga Reddy. He is one of the most popular artists in Mollywood.
