'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' has fantasy, poetic love story, divine element: Makers

'Ooru Peru Bhairavakona' is slated to hit the screens on February 16. At the film's pre-release presser today, the core team interacted with the media in Hyderabad.

Speaking at the presser, director Vi Anand said, "Every genre has a love story at its core, whether it's between a man and a woman, a father and a son, or any other relationship. 'OPBK' may be a supernatural fantasy, but it also has a love story woven into its narrative. Primarily, it's a mystery and an adventure, with a compelling suspense element. It's a wholesome entertainer, with no cuts recommended by the CBFC. Right from childhood, I have been curious about what happens after we die and what we were in our previous births. That's why I am fascinated by the supernatural fantasy genre. Lord Shiva is considered to be the companion of spirits. His imagery is associated with graveyards in our religion. With God's grace, we hope our movie becomes successful."

Actor Sundeep Kishan said, "We are so confident that the premiers are going to be held two days (on February 14) before the actual theatrical release. This movie is entertaining, first and foremost. How it is linked with 'Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada' is something for the audience to discover for themselves. There is a poetic love story in this film; it is driven by emotions. The theme of the film is this: how do the divine and ghosts get involved in helping out an individual to help another individual? This is not an experimental film by any reckoning. 'OPBK' is a proper commercial film"

Presenter Anil Sunkara said, "The commercial success of this film holds greater significance for me than the hero and the director. Typically, the narration given by the director surpasses the end result. However, with this movie, it's the other way around. We have accomplished everything we aimed for. Every February, there is a blockbuster. This month, ours will fill that quota. The quality of VFX in 'OPBK' is great. And the bill is astounding as well (laughs). You can expect the best CG."

The film is produced by Razesh Danda and has the Varsha Bollamma-Kavya Thapar duo in key roles. Its music is by Shekar Chandra.
