Actors aspiring to attain stardom have traditionally relied on cop roles, among others. But rarely do they land exciting cop stories that mix larger-than-life elevations with realism. TV serial actor RK Sagar, who has done soaps like 'Chakravakam' and 'Mogali Rekulu' in the past, is one such actor who has done a promising police story that is billed as an emotional actioner. His next film is titled 'The 100', in which he plays a daredevil IPS officer named Vikranth.
The film is helmed by Raghav Omkar Sasidhar, an acclaimed short filmmaker. 'Nannu Kshaminchandi', 'Laddu' and 'Omkaram', his much-awarded shorts, won umpteen international awards and Nandi Awards.
The director is upbeat about the film ahead of its theatrical release soon. Sagar's screen presence, his agile action and, above all, the story are mentioned as the film's defining features. "I have made a well-developed emotional action thriller. While being realistic, the film expresses itself through commercialism as well," Sasidhar says.
Music director Harshavardhan Rameshwar of 'Animal', 'Kabir Singh' and 'Arjun Reddy' fame and cinematographer Shyam K Naidu are of the opinion that Sagar and his director have nailed it. The fights have been composed by two masters: Vijay and Dragon Prakash.
Soon, the film's release date will be finalized. A trailer will be released to tell the audience what to expect from 'The 100'.
