'Yatra 2' is all set to hit the screens on February 8. Director Mahi V Raghav's Three Autumn Leaves, V Celluloids and Shiva Meka today unveiled the film's trailer.
The trailer begins with a scene showing what drove YSR (Mammootty) to launch a one-of-its-kind health insurance scheme for the poor as the CM of the then-united Andhra Pradesh. After his passing away in 2009, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi (played by Suzanne Bernard) attempted to forbid YS Jagan Mohan Reddy from rising. Sachin Khedekar's character says, "Let him be taught a lesson so that nobody dares to rebel against the Congress party (High Command) in the future," he says.
A character who resembles TDP supremo Chandrababu Naidu (played by Mahesh Manjrekar) says that politics have to be opportunistic. Jiiva's Jagan, meanwhile, abides by principled politics. The film's story ends with Jagan taking oath as the CM of AP.
Jiiva's body language is compelling. Ketaki Narayanan will be seen as YS Bharathi in the film. Madhie is the cinematographer and Santosh Narayanan is providing music for the film.
The film's theatrical release is expected to be embraced with fanfare by YSRCP's cadres.
