Before the release of 'HanuMan' in theatres, producer K Niranjan Reddy of Primeshow Entertainments declared that Rs 5 from each ticket sold will be given for the construction of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. The superhero devotional movie, starring Teja Sajja in the lead, has already crossed Rs 150 Cr in terms of box-office collections. The Prasanth Varma directorial continues to enjoy the maximum occupancy in the second weekend both domestically and abroad.
Keeping their promise of making large donations to the temple, the makers have already given a cheque of Rs 14,85,810 out of 2,97,162 tickets sold from the premiere shows of the movie heldon January 11.
And now, out of 53,28,211 tickets sold so far (in about ten days), Rs 2,66,41,055 has been announced as a donation.
In North America, 'HanuMan' has successfully grossed four million dollars. It was released in theatres by PrimeShow Entertainment and Nirvana Cinemas. In Nizam, the film has earned a share of nearly Rs 20 Cr (excluding GST).
Co-starring Amritha Aiyer, Vinay Rai, Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and others, the film has music by Gowra Hari.
