The teaser for 'Operation Valentine' is out. The film will hit the screens on February 16, 2024 in Telugu and Hindi. "Through all the turbulence, we shall stand tall!!! Ab jo hoga, dekha jayega! (sic)," wrote Varun Tej, sharing the teaser.
Set in the backdrop of the Indian Air Force, the film is directed by Shakti Pratap Singh Hada. The whole setting feels borrowed and unoriginal. The dubbing is off, with the aged characters in the military speaking like uncles working as anxious professors in our movies.
The template is also hackneyed. While the Air Force wants to observe restraint in the face of provocation, the hero (Varun Tej) wants to remind the enemy country not of Mahatma Gandhi but of Subhas Chandra Bose. The only positive is that the cinematography by Hari K Vedantam appears sincere. Mickey J Meyer's score doesn't raise hopes.
Written by the director himself, Aamir Khan, and Siddharth Raj Kumar, the film is produced by Sony Pictures International Productions, Sandeep Mudda’s Renaissance Pictures, and co-produced by God Bless Entertainment (Vakil Khan) and Nandakumar Abbineni.
