Prashanth Neel opens up about Khansaar city in 'Salaar'

It is known that the story of 'Salaar' is set in a fictional city named Khansaar. The place has been referred to as an empire in the media. In his latest interview, director Prashanth Neel has opened up about the fictional town, saying that it is one of the most violent places known to human civilization in the scheme of the film. Enemies of Prithviraj Sukumaran's character try to occupy it.

"We wanted to create Khansaar as one of the most violent worlds known to humans. That said, something that is strongly driven by emotions had to undergird the place. I firmly believe that motives are very important in the development of characters in a film like 'Salaar' to make them connect with the audience," the 'KGF' maker said.

The film's Release Trailer will be out next week. Two songs will be out in ten days.

Hombale Films has cast the likes of Jagapathi Babu, Shruti Haasan and Shriya Reddy. The music has been done by Ravi Basrur.

The pan-Indian flick, starring Prabhas in the lead, will hit the screens on December 22.
