It has been rumoured on Tuesday that the release of 'Eagle' will be postponed. Will it hit the screens for Sankranthi? Or, will it be postponed to Republic Day? The answer is here. And it is straight from the horse's mouth.
The film is going to be released for Sankranthi and there is no going back. "As announced earlier, the film will be hitting the screens worldwide on JAN 13th for this SANKRANTHI 2024 (sic)," the producers of 'Eagle' today said.
As far as Ravi Teja is concerned, 'Eagle' not getting postponed is important for his prestige. If the action thriller is taken out of the Sankranthi race, his detractors are going to comment that the Mass Maharaja fears competition with Mahesh Babu, Vijay Deverakonda, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, whose films are also in the Sankranthi fray.
Recently, Ravi Teja's 'Tiger Nageswara Rao' flopped at the box office mainly because of its ill-timed release. It was released for Dasara and was defeated by Balakrishna's 'Bhagavanth Kesari' and even Vijay's 'Leo'. Ravi Teja's fans hope that something of this sort doesn't happen during Sankranthi 2024.
